Environmental management system implemented in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard

Mazars Germany has successfully completed the external certification of its environmental management system

As a global auditing and consulting company which has firmly established its values, including responsibility, in its corporate culture, it is extremely important to us to set an example for our clients and customers by doing what we advise other companies to do (and indeed audit).

We regard and practise sustainability as part of our responsibility to society. As such, the Mazars Group has aligned its sustainability strategy with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The goals have been valid in all countries since 1 January 2016.

We have underscored our pioneering role in sustainability issues as part of our sustainability strategy and have introduced an environmental management system in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard for all German sites and had it certified by external experts.

What is the certification about?

The environmental management system (ISO 14001) is an instrument for describing, documenting and monitoring those activities in our company that significantly influence our impact on the environment.

The system enables us to reduce environmental pollution and raise awareness of the effects of our actions.

The following seven aspects are the focus for Mazars in Germany:

  • Climate protection
  • Resource efficiency
  • Legal certainty
  • Environmentally conscious procurement
  • Employee participation
  • Transparency and credibility
  • Sustainability
