Africa and the Middle East

Mazars was originally founded in France, and the French economy has traditionally had close links with those of the African continent and the Middle East. Both regions have therefore always been a key focus for us, and we have been working with companies with global objectives here for many decades.

Within Africa, Mazars has offices in Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Kenya, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda and Zimbabwe. In the Middle East, we have offices in Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

All of these offices have the facilities to help guide companies from all over the world as they expand into Africa and the Middle East, and to provide continued support once they have become established.

There is a particularly strong link between Germany and South Africa: Germany is South Africa’s second largest trading partner after China. Its import volumes from Germany are considerable and are expected to continue to grow in the coming years. The German business community here is also large. German companies currently have some 400 subsidiaries in the country, employing approximately 70,000 people.

To support this key link between the German and South African economies, Mazars Germany and Mazars South Africa jointly offer the South Africa Services, a portfolio tailored to meet the specific needs of German companies in South Africa.

South Africa

The economies of South Africa and Germany have always been closely linked. German companies currently operate approximately 400 branches in South Africa, employing a total of some 70,000 staff. And South African companies, too, have numerous subsidiaries based in Germany.
