MAZARS advises Grupo ASV, Alicante, during the acquisition of the German business of SCI International, Houston
Munich, 28 July 2014 - The audit and advisory firm MAZARS has provided advice to the Spanish undertaker Grupo ASV, Alicante, during the acquisition of the German business of SCI International, Houston, in the context of a financial, tax and IT due diligence and the negotiation of the sales and purchase agreement.
The Spanish family-owned business forces with the acqusition of the German activities of SCI International its ambitions regarding its strategy of internationalisation. SCI International, based in Houston/Texas, is a NYSE listed company and one of the largest undertaker firms worldwide. In Germany, SCI operates mainly in the northern part of the country. After the acquisition, the Spanish family-run company intends to transform the German SCI group activities into a medium-sized structure and to use the opportunities offered by the German funeral market.
